      Étapes du tutoriel

      Étape 1 — Verify the replacement part

      Visually check that the replacement keyboard is similar to the existing one.

      Étape 2 — Battery removal

      Unscrew the 2 upper screws using a PH1 Phillips screwdriver

      Étape 3 — Remove the lower case

      Take out the 9 screws with a PH1 Phillips screwdriver.

      Étape 4 — Remove the Optical Drive

      Take a look at the connector to the motherboard, then pull the disk drive straight out away from it to remove it.

      Étape 5 — Remove the SD Card Reader

      Disconnect the ribbon cable that connects the SD card reader to the motherboard.

      Étape 6 — Remove the hard drive

      Remove the plastic wedge that secures the hard drive in place.

      Étape 7 — Remove the LED Status Board

      Disconnect up the cable connecting the LED status board to the motherboard. It is a ZIF connector.

      Étape 8 — Remove the Ethernet / USB Board

      Disconnect the cable connecting the Ethernet / USB card to the motherboard. It is a ZIF type connector.

      Étape 9 — Remove the DC Power Cable

      Disconnect the DC power cable from the motherboard. The connector is of type Bundled Cable Connectors.

      Étape 10 — Disconnect the WiFi Card

      Remove the screw using a PH1 Phillips screwdriver.

      Étape 11 — Remove the WiFi Card

      Pull the card straight out away from the motherboard to remove it.

      Étape 12 — Disconnect the Webcam Connector

      Unplug the webcam connector.

      Étape 13 — Disconnect the Trackpad

      Unplug the ZIF connector on the trackpad securing the ribbon cable to the motherboard.

      Étape 14 — Disconnect 4 connectors

      Disconnect the ZIF connector on the power button board.

      Étape 15 — Remove the CPU Fan and Heat Sink

      Using a PH1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the CPU fan.

      Étape 16 — Disconnect the Speakers

      Remove the 4 screws securing the speakers with a PH1 Phillips screwdriver.

      Étape 17 — Disconnecting the Motherboard

      Using a PH1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the motherboard to the chassis.

      Étape 18 — Remove the Motherboard

      Remove the motherboard, taking care with the speaker cables, the various cables, and any fasteners bordering the sides of the motherboard.

      Étape 19 — Remove the Speakers

      Remove the speakers, taking care with the cable retainers, and any Scotch tape securing the cables to the chassis.

      Étape 20 — Remove the Display Hinges

      Unscrew the two screws on each hinge using a PH1 Phillips screwdriver.

      Étape 21 — Remove the Trackpad

      Use a hair dryer, heat gun or iOpener to soften the adhesive that attaches the Trackpad to the upper case.
