Removing the top circuit board

  • Note: I don't know how static sensitive the circuit boards are so if the humidity is quite low (meaning static can build up and you may zap something by touching it) try grounding yourself before you touch the circuit board. If you get up and walk around, ground yourself before touching the boards again.

  • If you have an appliance with a metal body and a three pronged electrical cord (a microwave etc) you can touch the metal case to ground yourself. Note: You DO NOT need to turn on the appliance, just have it plugged in.

  • The switches are on the two lower boards so remove the top board by removing the five screws (first picture) holding it in place.

  • The second picture shows where you should put your fingers to gently pull the plastic bar up over the standoffs (where the screws attach).

  • Once the plastic bar is free pull the board towards you a bit. Notice how the back of the board fits between plastic tabs at the back. This will be important when re-assembling the boards.

  • You can gently lay the top board over the back leaving all the ribbon cables attached (third picture).

Retira la tarjeta de circuito superior

Nota: Yo no se que tan sensibles a la estática las tarjetas de circuitos son si la humedad es baja (me refiero a que la estática se puede crear y podrías descomponer algo al tocarlo) intenta conectarte a tierra antes de tocar la tarjeta de circuitos. Si te levantas y caminas, descargarte antes de tocar las tarjetas de circuitos nuevamente.

Si tienes un aparato con un cuerpo de metal y su cable es de tres conexiones (un microondas etc) puedes tocar la carcasa de metal para descargarte. Nota: NO necesitas encender el aparato, solo tenerlos conectado.

Los interruptores están en las dos tarjetas inferiores así que retira la tarjeta superior retirando los cinco tornillos (primer imagen) que los mantienen en su lugar.

La segunda imagen muestra donde debes poner los dedos para levantar ligeramente la barra plástica sobre los separadores (donde se unen los tornillos).

Una vez que la barra de plástico este libre jala la tarjeta hacia adelante un poco. Nota como la parte trasera de la tarjeta embona entre las pestañas de plástico en la parte de atrás. Esto será importante cuando reensambles las tarjetas.

Puedes acomodar la tarjeta superior sobre su parte trasera dejando los cables planos unidos (tercer imagen).
