Does your Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro show no signs of life or refuse to turn on? Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to fail to turn on. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.

Incorrectly Plugged In

If the vacuum is not plugged into its power outlet correctly, it will not turn on. Check to make sure that the vacuum’s electrical cord is completely plugged into the outlet. Additionally, the power outlet could be a problem. Plug something like a phone charger (with your phone plugged in) into the power outlet to check that the outlet is actually producing power. You could alternatively plug in a lamp or another electronic device that allows the user to easily tell if it is working.

On Switch isn’t ‘On’

If the vacuum’s ‘On/Off’ switch is not on, the vacuum will not turn on. Check to make sure that the vacuum’s ‘On/Off’ switch is turned to ‘On.’

Tripped Circuit Breaker or Fuse

Vacuums can draw a significant amount of power when they are first turning on, and it is not uncommon for vacuums to trip a circuit breaker or fuse. Check your circuit breaker to make sure that the vacuum’s power outlet was not tripped. If the breaker has been tripped, press the reset button on the outlet. If your outlet does not include a reset button, locate your circuit breaker panel (which may be located in the basement of your home) to reset the outlet.

Motor Thermostat Needs Resetting

If you have tried all the above steps and the vacuum still refuses to turn on, the vacuum motor’s thermostat may need to be reset. If the vacuum becomes overheated, the thermostat in the vacuum’s motor may trip, causing it to not turn on. To reset the vacuum’s motor thermostat, use the following steps:

  1. Move the power button to the ‘O-Off’ position,
  2. Unplug the vacuum,
  3. Check for a clogged hose or filter; unclog the hose and replace the filter,
  4. Wait 45 minutes for the vacuum to cool; then plug in the vacuum,
  5. Turn the power switch to the ‘I-On’ position to start the vacuum.
  6. If the vacuum still does not start, contact Customer Service at 1-800-798-7398.

Buy shark vacuum cleaner will that work on floor mode or if I take off the roller brush

Gwendolyn Gordon - Réponse

Will that work if I take off roller brush or if it is on floor mode?

My shark vacuum made a funny noise and stopped working. I cleaned out all the hose, canister and vacuum bottom. It will not turn on when engaged unless I take it out of the upright position. It then turns on but there is no suction at base or tool.when place back upright vacuum turns itself off. What is going on here? Let me add the vacuum is 3 months old.
