Background
The IC-2A has an internal compressor that supplies air without the need for externally pressurized gas supplies. Oxygen can also be supplied by a 50 psi gas source and delivered via an internal blender in concentrations ranging from 21 to 100%.
The IC-2A can ventilate patients ranging in size from premature infants to adult patients. This broad range of applications, as well as the inclusion of non-invasive modes, distinguishes the IC-2A.
Identification
The BioMed IC-2A ventilator can be identified by its rectangular shape and beige color. It has a long handle along the left side. The manufacturer, name and model can be found on the front of the device.
