How do I fix a loose wire in the right ear |
Background
The Fairphone Fairbuds XL are the first headphones from sustainable phone manufacturer Fairphone. Fairphone has delivered high-quality sound in highly-repairable wireless headphones that include an easily interchangeable battery in the left ear cup. Beyond repairability, the Fairbuds boast excellent active noise cancellation and a companion app that lets users customize their audio preferences.
Using the Headphones Wired
Using the Fairbuds XL wired can be tricky. For starters, there is no way to turn off Bluetooth on the headphones. Instead, you have to disconnect them from the device before using them wired. To connect them wired, you can use a USB‑C to USB‑C cable that will both output audio and charge the headphones. You can also use the Fairbuds XL Headphones USB‑C to 3.5 mm Cable to connect to an analog source. These methods don't require the battery to be charged.
Even when connected to a USB‑C power source, some features may not reliably work without the battery installed. Make sure that you reconnect/reinstall the battery in order to do test functionality.
Identification
The Fairphone Fairbuds XL can be identified primarily by its unique and accessible design, including the prominent "Fairphone" branding on the outside of the ear cups. There is also a USB Type-C port connecting the individual ear cups together through the head band.
The Fairphone Fairbuds XL comes in two colors: Black and Green (the green is especially distinctive).
