Annoncé le 27 mars 2018 et lancé le 6 avril 2018, le P20 Pro est le tout premier smartphone de Huawei - et du monde - à avoir trois caméras arrières.

Ce smartphone phare dispose d'un écran tactile OLED de 6,1 pouces avec une résolution de 2240 x 1080 pixels. Il se distingue également par une petite encoche (notch) dans la partie supérieure de l'écran, sa double bosse pour les caméras, un bouton home avec lecteur d'empreintes digitales ainsi qu'un panneau arrière en verre.
