== Identification ==

The Steam Deck is a black, rectangular device with a screen in the center. Two square touchpad inputs can be found on either side of the screen. Above each of these touchpads rests a joystick. In the upper right corner, a traditional button array can be found (A, B, X, Y), with a directional button pad on the upper left. The shoulders of the Steam Deck feature two buttons each, for your typical R1, R2, L1, L2 triggers, as well as four additional buttons on the back (two on each side) for R3, R4, L3, L4.

There are three variants of the Steam Deck, with the main differentiating feature being the storage:

* The base model has 64GB of storage using an eMMC internal storage unit which using PCIe 2.0 x1.
* The mid tier model has 256GB of storage on an NVMe SSD using a PCIe 3.0 x2 or x4.
* The top tier model has a 512 GB NVMe SSD using PCIe 3.0 x2 or x4. It also features an anti-glare coating on the glass.

You can find which version of Steam Deck you have by navigating to the ***Settings*** menu and navigating to ***Settings*** > ***Model/Serial Numbers*** (under the ***Hardware*** header).

Note that, according to Steam, there is no discernible difference in performance between PCIe 3.0 x2 and x4 in this application.

Valve started shipping Steam Decks with refreshed internal designs in early 2023. [guide|148893|Remove the back cover|new_window=true] to check what version you have:

La Steam Deck est une console de jeux portable fabriquée par Valve. La Steam Deck LCD fonctionne avec [guide|147811|une APU AMD|stepid=303180|new_window=true] sur architecture CPU 64 bits x86, conçue sur mesure pour jouer toute votre ludothèque Steam. La console est exploitée par SteamOS v3.0, une version modifiée d'Arch Linux compatible avec Proton, ce qui permet de jouter la plupart des jeux Windows sur SteamOS. La console prend également en charge le multiboot multi-boot avec un menu BIOS accessible à l'utilisateur.

== Identification ==

La Steam Deck est un appareil rectangulaire noir avec un écran au milieu. Deux trackpads carrés se trouvent de chaque côté de l'écran. Au-dessus de chacun de ces trackpads se trouve un stick analogique. Dans le coin supérieur droit, on trouve une série de boutons d’actions traditionnels (A, B, X, Y), ainsi qu’une croix directionnelle dans le coin supérieur gauche. Les gâchettes du Steam Deck comportent deux boutons chacune, pour les gâchettes classiques R1, R2, L1, L2, ainsi que quatre boutons supplémentaires à l'arrière (deux de chaque côté) pour R3, R4, L3, L4.

Il existe trois variantes de la Steam Deck, qui se distinguent principalement par leur capacité de stockage :

* Le modèle de base dispose de 64 Go de stockage grâce à une unité de stockage interne eMMC PCIe 2.0 x1.
* Le modèle de niveau intermédiaire dispose de 256 Go de stockage sur un SSD NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 ou x4.
* Le modèle de niveau supérieur dispose d'un SSD NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 ou x4 de 512 Go. Il est également doté d'un revêtement antireflet sur le verre.
