Razer Blade 15” Base (2021)

Razer Blade's are Razer’s lineup of gaming laptops, and are known for being configured with powerful hardware, in portable form-factors. The 2021 lineup of Razer Blade's consisted of a 14 inch model, a 15 inch Base model, a 15 inch Advanced model, and a 17 inch model. The 15 inch Base model is positioned as the middle ground of the 2021 lineup.

The Razer Blade's primary demographic is gamers, but their powerful configurations means that they are viable devices for video editors, engineers, and high-power use cases. The RZ09-0410x has a i7-11800H at 2.4Ghz, and the RZ09-0369x has a i7-10750H at 2.6Ghz. Both models are configurable with an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060, or GeForce RTX™ 3070 Laptop GPU. Both models can be upgraded to have 4TB of M.2 NVMe storage, and 64GB of DDR4 RAM.

The RZ09-0369x is capable of using Thunderbolt 3, and the RZ09-0410x is capable of using Thunderbolt 4.

Some common problems include thermal throttling under heavy loads leading to reduced performance, and the battery swelling over time, something that Razer Blades had struggled with, on their earlier models.

Compared to its 2020 predecessor, the 2021 RZ09-0410x model brought an upgrade to Intel’s 11th Gen CPUs, coming from the 10th Gen used in 2020, along with RTX 30-series GPUs being introduced in the 2021 model. These hardware upgrades resulted in higher computational and graphical performance. The 2022 model the maintained this similar format, having an upgrade to Intel 12th Gen processors, providing a further boost in computing power.

The Razer Blade 15’’ Base (2021) is a gaming laptop with a CNC-milled aluminum chassis in a black finish. It has a green, backlit, Razer logo on its lid. It has a 15.6-inch display, 4.9mm side bezels. It has a single-zone RGB backlit keyboard and a glass touchpad.

The Razer Blade 15’’ Base (2021) is 19.9mm thick. Both models have a Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. The RZ09-0410x also has a USB-C Thunderbolt™ 4 port, and 3, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The RZ09-0369x instead has a USB-C Thunderbolt™ 3 port, and 3, USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports.The USB-A ports on both models are green-coloured.

The model number is located on the bottom panel of the laptop, or alternatively it can be found within the system BIOS under "System Information." It can also be found on the original packaging or in the Razer Synapse software.
