Remove
- Remove the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install)
- Remove the bolt that attaches the LH side of the ankle catcher to the front bumper beam.
Torque 16 Nm
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the front end carrier to the LH front subframe crush can.
Torque 16 Nm
- Note
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

6 in extension

Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Remove the bolt that attaches the front end carrier to the LH side of the ankle catcher.
Torque 7 Nm
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

13 mm socket

3 in extension

Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Repeat steps to on the RH side of the vehicle. 2 4

While pulling the front end carrier away from the vehicle, slide the ankle catcher down and away from the vehicle, and then set the ankle catcher aside.
