i searched the internet for this question but didn't find the answer. I have a 2012 macbook pro 13" and I wan't to know if I can install a retina screen from a rMBP on my normal macbook pro.
I hope I gave enough info to get my question answered

No- you can't. This was disclosed when the retina came out and was reviewed... it is not backward or sideways compatible.
