Why is there a battery with a red line threw it .
blackberry 8700c wont turn on and when on the charger a battery with a red line acrossed it shows up ...

aaronlitton, start by replacing the battery. It is possible that the battery is no longer holding a charge. Also, make sure that your charger is working okay and that the charging port does not have any corrosion, bend or broken pins.
