Network drops during single connection, next might work

My Airport Extreme drops while

a) downloading files (random position in file)

b) tryingn to load an URL. Sometimes it doesn't work at all.

This goes for WiFi and cable connection into the Airport Extreme.

Does someone know if the unit should be sent to Apple for repair, or if I can do something?

Options

First you could have a problem down stream of your AirPort Extreme.

What kind of connection do you have to the internet: Cable, DSL, WiFi, or Cellular modem?

Have you tried using a different AirPort unit or other hub unit?
