Hi guys i've been looking through your guides trying to find a glimpse of the possible location of the reed switch on the 4th Gen MacBook late 2008 2.4 Ghz model but i cant find anything. Can any of you suggest on where would that be located so i can fix it myself? Thanks

I just checked on my 2.4 from 2008 by slowly sliding an extra HDD down that side and it should be right next to the left of the function key. at least thats where the HDD was when it went to sleep and then woke up once i moved it from that spot

according to some research i just did its on the battery cable

What do you mean by a extra hdd so should i be able to do that by without opening the case to repair it? thanks
