Could I add water cooling to the system?

Would it be possible to retro fit a corsair h80i onto the mac mini if it were in a separate enclosure?

Seth Potter, can it be done? Sure it can but will require some ingenuity on your part. Check on here for some fun reading.

I agree with oldturkey03 on this one it can be done but not in the enclosure provided by Mac . so if you do it , it will no longer be a Mac mini and therefore defeat the purpose of having a Mac Mini. So with that said I also agree with Dan in that its not possible

I don't use the mini because it is small mainly because it is cheap and i already have a monitor that I love so the imac doesnt make sense thank you for your response

Sorry, not really possible. It would require a major overhaul of the case to get the modified logic board to even fit.

Won't really improve things from a performance perspective. Remember the CPU & GPU is mounted on the bottom side so you would have issues mounting the drives as it would interfere with there mounting.

He could put it on an inch thick piece of plate steel and remove the feet, insert some long metal pegs for feet (as the bottom is plastic. Put a bobble head Steve Jobs doll on top.

How about drilling a large hole in the back and hooking up a shop vac?

Ha! You're just getting weird on me Mayer ;-}

We use shelfs in our rack to hold a few which are RMON probes as well as using WireShark (Ethereal) to monitor our network.
