When I press the power button, the laptop will not report any signs of turning on. The charger is plugged into the laptop. What can I do to get it to turn on?

Your laptop’s battery may be faulty and unable to retain a charge. You’ll need to replace the battery if this is the case. The problem may also result from having a faulty battery adapter.
