1. Shut off phone
2. Hold down the volume up button and power button at the same time.. white screen will appear, release power button, then secondary darker screen will appear.
3. Select reboot system.
4. Take your damm selfies or whatever you do.

Sounds like the camera is faulty, have you tried replacing it?
