Help Identify Resistors, Fan Control Circut 2011 Mac Mini

I have identified that there are 3 missing resistors on my logic board that I assume are part of the fan control circuit, Since the fan is running at full speed and reporting 0RPM.

I need to Identify the resistors used.

Here is a board with them in place:

Any Help would be much appreciated

This is what happens when end users that don’t know what they’re doping mess with things.

I have a 2011, and the fan is running at full blast.

It’s missing the component on the opposite side of yours.

Idk if it’s a resistor, cap, or diode, as it’s gone.

Does anyone know what goes there?

It’s on the side of the connector that has 2, instead of 3, and it’s the one that’s closer to the square chip, farthest from the connector.

Looking at your picture it appears the solder pads where pulled off with the components - Ouch!

This is going to need some serious TLC by someone to retrace the lines and patch in the missing components. It also appears the fan socket is also damaged.

You'll need to find someone with the needed microcircuitry skills to fix your logic board or you'll need to replace it. Sorry ;-{

Thanks for the reply Dan, Yeah I know bummer, it can be jumped to the line carefully and it should work, All I really want at this point is the info on what was there, the fan connector is fine in the current state though it is missing a small piece of the plastic its intact (I assume this happened at the same time with a misplaced screwdriver...)

there is nothing else wrong with the logic board, just the fact that the fan is running at high speed it sort of annoying.

Sorry Alex you really need a microscope and the skills to patch in the damaged lines. Even I don't have the skills to do it! Checkout this IFIXIT blog story on: Jessa Jones-Burdett

I know how its done, Whether I have the skills or know how its done or not is irrelevant... All I wanted to know what what they were since they are unmarked. If you don't know that is Fine I will find someone who does, Thanks.

Late reply feb 22 2017 for others facing the same problem.

I faced the same problem with a broken resistor as the author, I measured on a working A1347.

From the connector going down step 1 to 3:

1 (nearest connector) is 0,30 ohms.

2 is 12k

3 is 9,8k

Actually, number 1 is not resistor, but inductor ( BLM15EG221SN1D ).

dead link. I need to see it, and it's not cached on wayback
