Sound on Blu Life One X phone stopped working for no reason

The speaker on my Blu Life One X just stopped working. I just got it and it seemed to be working fine, it was playing the startup sound perfectly, and now it just won't make any sound whatsoever.

Hi, have you checked that the volume level of your phone is turned up? Have you checked that you haven't got the 'silent' feature enabled?

How can I help my sound to listen to it

My phones sounds are not working

I have the same problem. My phone sound suddenly stopped working on the fourth day I had it and I hadn't dropped it, gotten it wet or had it in my pocket. My husband passed away in May and he used to take phones apart to fix them but I can't do it. So, I have no answer, just commenting that I have the same problem. Maybe it's a factory defect.

I have the same phone with the same problem.

This is a hardware problem and not a software one if you made sure your volume is all the way up and also the phone isn't stuck in headphone mode. (You will see a headphone icon if it is)

To fix it I did the following.

I took off the back cover and unscrewed the screws near the bottom where the rear speaks is.

The phone connects to the rear speaker with a small metal plate on the plastic back end you removed to the phone which also has a metal plate. I didn't have to do anything after replacing the back cover again I turned on the phone on and I heard the Blu start up sound. Everything is working as it did before.

My guess is somehow the metal plates that need to touch for the sound to work somehow got misaligned.

Hope this works for you too. Good luck.

Update (04/05/2016)

Sorry a little more detail. At the back where your speaker is if you unscrew the back of your phone there are two small metal teeth coming down from the speaker to the two metal plates on your phone. If you very carefully bend the teeth down while holding the speaker in place then snap the phone together again this should fix the issue. I think what happened to my wife's phone is she had it in her back pocket and might have out pressure near the speaker bending the metal teeth from the speaker and then it lost contact with the phone creating the no audio issue.

My BLÜ G51S has a "do not disturb" setting which switches off the media audio. Switching the "do not disturb" setting off, restored the media audio in my case.
