I had a clicking during oscillation on my TP04. When it would reach the end of the rotation, on one side, it would click as though it was binding. Looking at the filter basket, it had actually worn off some paint. I noticed the gap between the white plastic base and filter basket were not the same.
I tore down the entire thing and found the metal shaft that connects the upper body (filter basket and up) to the bottom base was crooked. Looks like the cause was just poor manufacturing on the affixing plate that the shaft is bolted to. I tried to replaced the washer that sits on the bearing, readjusting the seating, but it would still wobble when spun. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the shaft sits slightly crooked.
I ended up shimming the affixing plate, that binds the shaft to the entire upper body, with a small washer under one of the plate screws. This offset the crookedness just enough to straighten the alignment going into the base unit. Under one of these, in the very bottom of the top tower, under the motor.
This is basically an entire unit teardown to get to it. So long as you have time, torx bits and patience, you can fix this.

I have this problem too. Drives me crazy. I bought this product as it was supposed to be quiet, too have in a bedroom. Do you think I have any consumer rights on this?

Hi @deasal,
If it is still within the warranty period, contact the customer service section as described in the warranty statement and explain the problem and ask if there is anything that they will do for you, especially if it is described by them, as you say, "quiet".

Cheers -I'm not sure, I will drag out the warranty.

My solution was to return it to the store I bought it from since it was still within the return policy. I did this after troubleshooting with a Dyson support rep, and she recommending me to simply return/exchange it. Since mine started clicking within two weeks of purchasing it, I had no problems doing an exchange. If I was not within the store's return policy period, I believe she would've told me to ship it to Dyson. I've had the same Dyson ever since. It's been a little over 7 months and have not heard a single click. I did not want to make this the answer to my question though since it doesn't actually fix the problem.

My brand new AM09 is clicking when it reaches the end rotation (right) and switches to oscillate left. I live in a 60 year old building that has visibly tilted floors, and my Dyson sits in one of the worst leaning areas. The problem began 2 weeks after purchase.
I hope the clicking will not lead to any long-term problems for the Dyson, but my first attempt to solve this will be to put something under it in an effort to level it.
