Replacement Cable
It may be virtually impossible to repair the USB if damaged.

Can you post the pics? I've heard problem with some cables, but many new cables have chipsets, so not sure if design of cable is flawed.

Looks like the Oculus Rift 2 in 1 cable. (HDMI and USB)
I don't think so, Jim. The circuit board in the Rift appears to be made for the VR and possibly upcoming upgrades. I could find no link between the manufacturers. Definitely, the Achilles heal is the cable at the computer end. Movement in VR and orientation in reality can pull at a 90 degree angle, severing the fragile connects.

From my in-depth research, currently only through Oculus.
