Touchscreen acting weird after battery replacement

I just replaced the battery of my iPhone 6. The battery is working fine and I've done this procedure multiple times.

However, the touchscreen is unresponsive. Swiping on the homescreen or starting apps works pretty normal. The problem mostly occurs when typing something. Then it just starts typing out of itself, mostly the letter 'b'.

I opened it up again and reattached the frontscreen connectors. Then I thought it was solved but then it became impossible to type again. It seems like it occurs sometimes more than others.

Any idea on what this could be? The screen was working perfectly fine beforehand. Any specific methods for attaching the connectors or cleaning them?

There is one that might help, try flexing the metal part of the connector then plug it back in.

Cleaning the connectors and the logic board side connector too with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol may also help.

Another one is to keep the screen plugged in but the battery unplugged and hold the power button for about 5-10 seconds. (This drains any remaining power in the logic board / mainboard)

Does the touch screen (digitizer) still have issues when the screen is pried / lifted up from the iPhone 6 metal housing?

What do you mean by flexing the part of the connector? Try to bend it?

Ive cleaned the connectors (both on the logic board and on the front screen) with a cotton swap drenched in isopropyl alcohol and let it dry for a bit. But the problem still persists...

The problem also still occurs when the screen is pried up and all the connectors are connected.

Had the same problem.

The last screen connector you take out, or the first one that you put back, was a bit bended and didn't make good contact with board.

You need to feel the click when pressing down.

Hope this helps someone

Judging by the comments, do you think you could have damaged the connector during the replacement? These "ghosting" issues usually arise when a pin is damaged or flex cable bent. I have seen it time and time again. I'm assuming you are ensuring tight solid connections?
