keys not working properly

I have a yamaha piagerro npv60. The B & C keys have problems with it. Here's the scenario: - both keys played together, respond to velocity. If you play fast trills or scale, if u hit one first, the next key, either B or C wont sound. You have to time it properly to work. If you hold down either B or C and then press the other... The latter won't sound. But take note, in combination with other notes all is fine. Same issue for the F and F#. This happens in all the B&C and F&F# on the keyboard. Please help! Thanks in advance!

If I may add, when pressed together, they both sound. Only one after or before gives me the problem. I' ll post a video to make it clearer..

Does anyone know how to solve this?

I have a yamaha p45 and all D keys work fine but if I play D and E they won't make any sound. Any other combination of keys will make the sound, its just that specific combination and it happens for all octaves.

Hi i have a gl 444 keyboard when i plug the adapter the speaker has sounds like vibrating sounds but when i play the keyboard it doesn't have sounds can you help me pls i haven't played it for 8 years

I have yamaha p45 and I have the exact same issue. Factory settings didn’t work (provided it did went to factory settings). Haven’t unscrew or broken down anything yet. Anyone fixed it already?

Hi,

Have you tried to reset the keyboard to its' factory default condition to see if this resolves the problem for you.

Starting with the power off:

While holding the rightmost white key on the keyboard (C7) along with the three rightmost black keys (F#6, G#6, and A#6), turn the power switch on. "Clr" will appear on the display.

NOTE: Do not turn off the power while Clr is showing on the display.

My only other suggestion is that you purchase the Service manual (as it is not available for free on the internet.) In other Yamaha keyboards I have noticed that for certain key combinations the circuit used is nearly the same except for the last connection e.g. on a psr e403 there are only 12 separate power feeds for all the keys. Certain keys combinations are 'connected together' as far as the 'feed'power is concerned only separated at the decoder stage to individual inputs.

My thinking is that since it is only happening on two key combinations, perhaps they are sharing the same power feed and that there may be a problem with it. By power feed I mean in my example the power feed is +3.3V DC thru a 10K Ohm resistor and then to the keyboard key multiple wiring. It may be that for your particular keys that the voltage is slightly lower for whatever reason so that it does not react properly.

I have had this problem a long time. I have noticed lately that this only happens in damy, rainy or stormy weather and the problem goes away during dry periods. Could this be the problem

I have a rockjam rj461 electronic keyboard . It's 5 keys are not working properly . C,d,e,b,a . These keys have late response but sometimes it has not working . Do vaccum cleaning help this keyboard to recover ? . Please do reply as soon as possible it is very important and we are struggling with that keyboard . Thank you so much in advance. For everyone else searching here are a few options.


One is to use canned air to blow between the keys. The other (try at your own risk) is to smack the back of the keyboard. Finally you can undo all screws on the back and carefully remove any dust or debris, this is much easier and safer after you undo the ribbon cables attaching the two halves. With those carefully disconnected you can shake the half with the keybed to try and loose any dust or debris under the keys.

This issue can be caused by deteriorating rubber pads under the keys or dirty contacts. One solution may be to clean the contacts for the keys using alcohol wipes or to replace the rubber pads.

Haven't looked at it closely but here's the service manual for the keyboard.

It has the schematics so you should be able to work out why they key aren't working
