@fun24ever , David, You will want to check the transmission fluid level right away and top up if required. Check for trouble codes to aid in diagnosing the transmissions problem, some parts supplier offer free code reading like Nappa, Pepboys, Advanced auto,etc. Is your trans. fluid dark,dirty or have a burnt smell. There are a few things that can cause a transmission to slip dirty contaminated trans fluid, plugged filter, pinched transmission line, plugged passages in valve body of trans, worn clutches, weak pump, Throatall Valve (TV)cable damaged out of adjustment, etc.. Best to have a good transmission Tech. have a look, diagnose and estimate repair. See links below for more info/troubleshooting. Good luck.
