Constant power cycling and Reboot

I have customers Samsung S5 Active that every min would boot loop. After 24 hours I got it to update and did 4 system restores. I used Samsung Kies and Smart switch to try and repair and nothing. It has a brand new battery in it and no damage to the phone. I have noticed tho that if its plugged into a computer it does not restart, Unplugged and plugged into a charger on the wall it restarts. Any thoughts or ideas apart from wrapping it in C4 and watching it explode

Options

This may sound basic, but make sure that the power button isn't stuck. I had an S5 a few months back with the same problem, and it was because the power button was broken.

power button is fine I thought that was well but since it stays on if Im at the root screen or plugged into a computer then with out power cycling its throwing me off

That is really tough. I know it's a little late, but I forgot to mention you can try using ODIN to restore the factory image. I use it all the time for work, if you can find the original factory image, and download it you can then activate ODIN mode and do a custom install... This may solve the issue, then again a GS5 may not be worth the time. Let me know if you're interested and I'll post instructions.

I am interested, please post instructions. I have a Galaxy S5 Active with the same issue. I like this phone very much but do not want to pay 3 times what it is worth to ahve someone else fix it or tell me it's not fixable. Therefore I am trying to fix it myself. Thanks.
