Wow, that's quite the story. The battery should not be getting so hot that it's uncomfortable to touch the phone. That means something else has gone wrong. Heat is generally caused by electrical resistance. A likely cause of this is a failed bord component, a in improperly seated connector, or a short circuit therein. The Apple logo flashed wich is a good sign, but since you're swapping parts from another phone of unknown history, you may find yourself tumbling down the proverbial rabbit hole There are two roads to take here. If you're confident it is the battery itself which is getting hot, I would check to make sure the connector is properly seated, and that the charging circuit appears to be undamaged. From there, the simplest thing to do is to swap out the battery. I recommend iFixits Fix Kit for battey replacement. I'm not a fan of throwing parts at problems, but this is definitely the path of least resistance (pun intended). If you replace the battery and the problem remains then you're likely...
Plus d'informationHi Ren, it doesn't appear that Mantis sells that throttle cable, and neither does Honda. They don't have it listed in the parts catalog for the 7566 Tiller. Generally speaking, when a throttle cable breaks on a small engine, I measure the cable and purchase a universal kit of the correct length to replace it. You can find these kits on Amazon, or at your local hardware store.
Plus d'informationHi Anna! Technically the entire logic board could be replaced, but generally speaking, no we do not replace entire logic boards. Unlike PC motherboards, the logic board in your iPhone has most of the necessary components already integrated. In most cases, you may as well just purchase a replacement device at that point. You're better off attempting to salvage what you already have. It really depends on which components are damaged and what type of damage has occurred. I would seek a repair professional to have this properly evaluated. I do not recommend attempting to blindly replace the entire logic board.
Plus d'informationHello Bob, I'd try using a different cable first. If the connection still appears to be loose, the charging dock daughter board can be replaced. If you have a model G781V/B it's a relatively simple fix that doesn't require any soldering. The port is replaced as a circuit board assembly. Either way, you may want to seek a repair professional to have the work done.
Plus d'informationTo my knowledge, there isn’t a great way to accomplish this. I’ve never had to repair a Moto X. However, As someone who deals with this issue on a weekly basis, here’s what I recommend. Make sure the grill is a straight as possible, use a pair of tweezers to gently position the grill over it’s position. If possible, use the point of your tweezers to pinch the edges of the grill in between the speaker and phone housing. A nylon spudger is also an option if you have enough clearance, and I have been known to use a razor blade from time to time, but I have ruined more grills than I have saved with that tool. In many cases, it is advisable to dab a tiny bit of adhesive on each end to get it to stick. If you go the adhesive rout be sure to use something that isn’t too viscous but dries clear and quick. I hope this helps. -CW
Plus d'informationUnless you dropped it in a pit of lava, or it got wet while powered on, I highly doubt it’s scrap. I would take it to someone who specializes in hardware repairs for electronics. Let me know if you need help locating a reputable place. Cheers, CW
Plus d'informationHi Lou, The audio jack and microphones are all part of the lightning connector assembly. Parts and tools can be found here: iPhone 6s Plus Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack This can job can be tedious, be sure to take your time. As far as the glass is concerned.. Hypothetically you might be able to get a way with reusing the broken screen. I strongly advise against it. Usually cracks become worse during screen assembly removal. Good Luck, CW
Plus d'informationSlow crank cold start is indicative of low cranking amps. The battery is likely nearing the end of it’s life. I would recommend having the battery tested.
Plus d'informationHello William, you are correct. The best way to gain access is by removing the rear cover. There are no specialty tools or suctipn cups required. Once the rear cover is off, remove the 1 or 2 screws holding the hard drive housing in place. There may he a few screws holding the drive in the housing as well. There is usually clasp or handle at the top fo the housing that neede 5o be properly positioned in order for the HD to be removed. Overall, its a fairly straightforward process. You should be able to compete the job with a Philips screwdriver and ESD protection.
Plus d'informationI have never run into this problem specifically on an iPhone 5s. However, (assuming you've already power cycled the phone) I would plug in a pair of headphones and unplug them first. If the problem persists do a backup and restore. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, CW
