My laptop does not work unless it is connected to a power source. I'm guessing it's the battery.
How can I check or know if it is. And how do I get a replacement?
I live in Mexico...

Sebastian Guadarrama-Sistos , Below is a link to show how to open laptop to access battery for changing. 2nd link shows how you can google search to find a replacement battery using your computers make and model #, link 3&4 are guides telling you symptoms of a bad battery. Good luck.

I got a replacement Battery. But the same problem continues. Battery charging indicator repeatedly blinks from red to green. Battery indicates 100% charge but system does not work on battery power. Please provide solution.

We in our company bought 3 Toshiba Satellite P55W laptops, and all 3 had the same battery problem. After a year battery was dead!!!! Even replacement batteries are not performing well. Toshiba should say something about this obvious problem!!!

Have you contacted Toshiba about this then?
If they aren't told they mightn't know about it.
At least this way you should get an answer. Do it via email, that way you'll get a written response.
