a friend vomited on the keyboard and the trackpad now has the problem that it tracks but it does not click. Can the track pad be changed and how is it done. It has not been cleaned inside so I sense that is where to start first?

It needs to be torn down to see how far the damage goes and which of the liquid sensors have been activated. Please give us the last three letters of your serial number so we can direct you to the correct teardown guide.
