MBP Late 2016 — Butterfly keyboard's key double hit problem
I recently got a new Macbbook Pro. Problbem is what you're exactly seeing here and it's specific to the bb key.
I touch it once and it puts two b characters for me most of the time, but not always. This key is much looser and more sensitive than the others.
Suggested by @pydev, I removed the key cap. It does work flawlessly without the key cap. But when I put it back, same old story.
Any ideas?

Have you spilled anything on it or has it has an impact?

I'm experiencing this very thing. I noticed that when I tested it out in Microsoft word, I just typed in B again and again until it doubled.
I tried to press the button with the same intensity each time, and sure enough, after the 3rd try b bb << (Second attempt there) it automatically populated as double-b... I'm not sure how to explain this in CPU terms. But it seems to be a key that is out of whack in general throughout the OS.
Would love to hear if there's a solution and how customers can update our CPU's.
Cheers,

thomasbunn - You'll need to bring your system in to an Apple Store for them to replace the keyboard. There is a known issue within the first gen units.
As far as upgrading the CPU sorry guy no can do! Apple uses soldered CPU's & RAM in all of their current laptops, you can't swap it out.
