Flooded Mac Mini Power Adapter

The area where I keep my mac mini was flooded with the mac mini turned off. The power supply was actually full of water as it was laying on the floor. After drilling a hole in the power adapter to drain out the water, and allowing it to dry out fully, it still will not power on the machine at all. What are the chances that only the power adapter is bad and not the mini also? There is no way to test it since I do not know anyone else with this same power adapter. Thank you.

Did your mini get wet at all? If not you should be OK.

The hard part is finding one of these older power bricks

Thank you for your opinion. I have found a power brick on eBay for less than $20.00. It is worth the risk to see if it will work.

afraid some items might been blown or shorted,

even that, water contribute oxidisation and corrosion to the electronic parts, circuits and traces.

maybe consider to get from ebay or... lend one 3rd party universal adapter, e.g. acbel, etc which can set around this range, Input:: AC100-240V (worldwide use)

Output:: DC18.5V 4.6A

Power:: 85W.

to test before purchasing it.
