i have tried restarting it several times i cannot get on my phone because the passcode numbers are mostly on the right half of the phone wich is unresponsive it isnt cracked though pls help me i also have tried killing it ( holding down home button and power button until it turns off) it didnt do anything besides restart it but the damage was still the same PLS HELP ME!!!!!

If yes then screen most likely needs to be replaced.

mine is brocken a screen and its not working half screen and thats the bottom part. is there any way to fix?
You'll need to get the screen replaced. Note that if the iPhone housing is dented inwards on the corners they'll need to be bent back beforehand.
i have the same problem and i have done literally everything and nothing worked pls help
is it that the screen is the only need to be replaced? Because repair shops keeps on telling me to replace the lcd and screen at once.
Same, my phone started with half the screen then it got worse and worse, so now my whole screen is frozen

I dropped my iPhone 6 it didn't fall that hard but the top part of my screen is unresponsive and the bottom half works

did you end up getting it fixed? I'm dealing with the same problem.
Try Tapping the affected area slightly and see if it works,i came to this site looking for a solution and accidentally tried this trick and it worked,hope it works for you
i dropped my iphone 7 (its my backup phone for editing etc) barely 4ft and now i have marks on my phone, it moves in and out of apps its self then randomly blacks out.

I just had this happen with the iphone 8 plus and if you swipe up the home button twice it will bring down the screen so you can put in your pass code but it doesn’t fix the screen and and you have to have this feature already enabled to bring down the screen

Yeah I have that disabled so it is currently impossible to access the phone at this point in time.
I was just searching for that answer because I did it by accident a few minutes ago. My phone is locked for an hour after doing a soft reset, so hopefully it will work for me. I have to click the 9 before doing it.
ohmygosh how could I forget about this, thank you, although it still can't fix the unresponsive screen above

Screen replacement.
It might have damaged the LCD, so you may need to get that replaced as well. Screen replacements are relatively easy, they're cheap on EBay and since it's a 5, you don't need to worry about the Touch ID cable. You'd need to transfer the home button.
The iPhone screen is made of layers. Underneath the glass is the Liquid Crystal Display, which is responsible to for the touch and the display of images.
To know if your LCD is broken, there would be out-of-place lines, blurry or black spots or a black screen.
Only do a screen replacement if you know how.
Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't think that it's a quick fix by pressing a few buttons, but you should definitely take it into an Apple Store or third-party repair shop. (Usually cheaper)

I dropped my iPhone xs max and it cracked but top half of the screen wont respond while the bottom half works. There are two possible ways you can fix it yourself or get through the problem. Bring down the screen with swipe down. Also you can open your phone and check the internal if your the screen cable attachment is all connect because if one attachment is loose or unattached certain part of the screen will be unresponsive. If these still not work the i recommend getting your phone fixed because your lcd or oled part might be damaged or it might be the display censor is damaged

You can’t swipe down if the top doesn’t work
Thank you Brian Lu for the answer I was looking for. I feel like everyone says the same answer every site I go to but in my case I’m trying to fix a iPhone I just replaced. I’ve replaced the screen on it in the past at least 5 times and vow to never waste money for that phone again. Except now I need to access old saved passwords and had to find a good enough trick like checking wires to get what I needed done Your suggestions were exactly what I was looking for. Simple, free and quick

This is not a solution nor a trick but just a thing you can do, first turn on reachability (if you’re able to) It will help a lot since most of these people’s phone is only affected at the top. After you turn on reachability just swipe down from the bottom of the screen, you’ll be able to do most things because the top screen is being dropped down to the bottom. If you have a second device you or device you can borrow check if your apple device still has warranty or apple care, If you have either of these things you will be able to fix your phone for free! I suggest you go send your device to apple or go to your local apple store to see if they do their own repairs. If you don’t have any of these things you can still get your device fixed but you will have to pay a fee.

Hi I dropped my iPhone 8 plus and now have of the screen is not working (upper part) and the passcode numbers from 1-3 are affected so I cannot log in on to my phone. I have tried restarting it but it's not working. please help

I dropped my iphone xs max now top half of my screen wont respond but they fix of making the phone work at least if lightly double tap the touch id part and will bring the screen down

Alright, I dropped my iPhone 6s and first the bottom of my screen wasn't working, then lines started appearing, then my screen and the phone somehow started to disconnect. So today I pushed them back together and then 4/5 of my screen went black with nothing but lines in that 4/5. And now, my screen is glitching. For example, the lock screen has the time and date, right? Well, I'm seeing 2 pairs of that! Please help, should I go to the Apple Store to get it repaired or...?!

I dropped my Iphone8, for me the entire left side isn’t working, luckily while I was still able to get in the phone with touch ID I used the new app library to go to settings and turn on certain things for siri like making it so I can talk to her in the lock screen, I was also able to push some of my apps around with just the left side to be able to back stuff up on certain apps I needed. If anyone has the same problem I would recommend trying to trouble shoot and do something similar. VERY IMPORTANTLY, get rid of your passcode if there’s any way to before things get worse. I personally couldn’t take it off because two of the number are on the left side and I have to put it in to take it off in settings. I tried to restart the phone as a way to fix it and it was hard enough to do that because I couldn’t swipe from the left so I had to hold the lock button for probably 30 seconds. Now I can’t get in my phone and all I can do is tell siri to call or text people. I think this issue has to be fixed professionally
