Will Not Interact/Play Music/Make Sound

Found my old 2007 Amp'd version I put 3 new batteries in it and it will turn on but u cant hardly see the LED lights and it wont play music or bark wine or anything sound at all except a ticking sort of sound. I have tried the nose button and the tail and even held the reset button. It wont turn off by holding the nose button either. The only time it makes a sound is when I switch it to DEMO mode and it will play lik 2-3 seconds of music and will bark but then goes silent again. I have checked where you put the batteries and it immaculate no corrosion or anything. Any ideas?

Hi @vickisworld ,

Here is a link to the ifixit How to Disassemble an iDog MP3 toy repair.

It shows how to open the toy so that access can be gained to the electronics.

Once it has been opened you can check the wiring using a DMM (Digital Voltmeter and also an Ohmmeter) to try an isolate where the problem is. Unfortunately I cannot find a wiring diagram for the toy which would greatly simplify this process.
