iPhone X Won't turn on

iPhone x was half way charged last night. Put it on to charge. When I got up this morning it is black screened and will not power on. I have Tried the volume up down and then holding power on still nothing. iTunes won't even recognize it. I've tried diffferent charging cables and blocks nothing will get it back on. Any suggestions, besides taking it to apple? I plan to do that if I don't get it back on

My iPhone X sim port was open and it feel inside the water and turn blank on the screen what can I do to solve this

In addition to a hard reset, the solution to this problem is to use the factory reset. Only in the process of using the factory settings, the data on the iPhone will be deleted. Of course, if you can contact the Apple store, this is the best. Otherwise, you can also use the Fonecope iOS System Recovery tool. https://www.fonecope.com/iphone-wont-tur...

Well, since this is a DIY forum, if you want to try troubleshooting it yourself, see the wiki iPhone X Won’t Turn On.

Honestly I know that you don't want to bring it to apple, but if this turns into a more serious issue it will cost you a lot of money. I say you should get it replaced/fixed by apple before your warranty is up. (assuming this is a new device you bought recently)

Hi is your XR still good? Im planning to get a XR, because my IPhone X won't turn on and they told me that it's because of its logic board. They said I need to replace the phone because they can't fix a logic board issue.

I have an IPhone x with the same problem, wont turn on or take charge, Itunes wont recognise it, the local official repair shop tells me that they will replace it with a new IPhone against a fee, my warranty just expired. Please put a solution.

Hi! This just happened to me and I talked to an advisor on Apple’s website! He gave me 3 easy steps to try and it worked for me so hopefully it’ll work for anyone else too! PSA: This only works with the iPhone X

  1. Press the “up” volume button and quickly release
  2. Press the “down” volume button and quickly release
  3. Hold in the lock button on the right side of the phone for about 5 seconds (or until the apple logo appears)

Thats it! Hope this helps someone :)

marry me andrea, it worked with me, i was super terrified because the warranty of my iphone X has expired 10 days back only. This was a moment for me only because of you, the apple adviser told me to press the volume down key along with the power button, which was not working, what a jerk he must be, thanks babe!

Thank you! Saved me the time and headache of trying to get it fixed/replaced!

1.Force Restart or Reboot your iPhone

2.Charge Your iPhone Correctly, Check if the charging wire is broken or loose.

IF iPhone  Gets Stuck During Startup and Screen is Black.Connect your device to a computer then launch iTunes. After your device is connected perform force restart.

Sometimes the changing problem may arise that will only allow the charge from some particular charger or maybe it only support the charge while connected to the PC, not to the wall charger.

The iPhone XR was completely blank. It was on a charger for 2 days. When I connected to I tunes on a pc, I couldn’t get to any programs except music. When I closed out music the xphone lit up, but it only had 3% charge. It was on chargers that I used before and it charged, but I assumed that it wasn’t able to charge. This phone is only 3 months old. I’ve noticed it loses charge very fast during the day. I’m not sure if the battery isn’t defected. I will turn off programs to a bear miminum to see if this makes a difference...

How did you switch it on then? Did it switch on?

par

Worked when connected to computer while itunes was launched, thanks for that tip.

Didn't work with charger that worked with another iphone X.

Didn't work with force restart or reboot.

there are a couple steps, but it is likely an apple warranty claim.

however, try leaving it plugged in for 24 hours in a high amperage, (2A or more) charger. the battery may just need a kick.

Anything further would involve opening the device, which would void the warranty.

Hello my iphone is not working. All i get is the Apple logo when it is on the charger that appears and disappears every 15-20 seconds. I have tried the Up Down Side Power button thing, unfortunately to no success. Itunes won’t recognise the iphone X either. Does this mean a new phone? I bought my iphone through a telco NOT apple, so hope they might give me a new phone if the problem cannot be solved

If it is less then a year old even if you bought it through a Phone Company Apple will replaced under warranty, But it sounds like it may need a new battery or another part. If your in the year warranty Take it to any apple store and you should be fine. If not then I would take it there or any place to have them diagnose it. It could be anything from the Battery to a Bad cable that causes the phone to Boot loop like you described.

It’s garbage piece it $@$* company same happened with me , never buy their products again

Little trick for ya if you end up having to do hardware. I have experienced this many times. If it is actual hardware. It is the charge port. Before you fully replace charge port attempt this. Works about 50% of the time. Without full disassemble. Attach the new charge port, disconnect and reconnect the old one. Not sure why this works but it does.
