Can you convert iPad mini from wifi to cellular?

I have an old iPad mini that I would like to do some modifications on. Long story short, I fly helicopters and thought it would be fun to try and convert my iPad mini wifi into a mini cellular.

Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated!

No, it does not seem you can do that. I would recommend selling it to somebody who wants it and buying a cellular one. Good luck!
