Speaker seems to “scream”

After playing music for a few minutes my speaker seems to “scream” than turn off even though it’s fully charged. The speaker doesn’t crackle but literally sounds like dragging long fingernails on a chalkboard, but with more intensity. It used to be an amazing speaker but ever since a month ago it’s been doing this. Not sure if JBL speakers are just trashed after time or if there’s a way to fix this but I’m all ears for your answers.

Did you get this figured out? I can't even find anyone else that's having this problem besides us.

Answers anyone?? Exact same problem. Screaching noise and turns off with full charge

Does your battery look too big for its spot? I mean, when I took my speaker to pieces, the plastic part that covers the battery seems to compress it , as if the battery was bigger than it should be. I can't put it back together anymore because of the battery, which is too big. It might be a stupid question but does someone know if a battery can get bigger when you take it into a plane?

I believe I figured out what's happening, however I haven't been able to fix it.. the problem only happens at higher volumes due to the movement of the speaker itself inside the housing causing copper on copper contact.. this causes the screeching sound you hear followed by a short which turns the speaker off. Wrapping the wires didn't seem to help so if anyone else has any ideas..

Has the connectors from the speaker to the housing changed or loosened in any way?

Can you tell (show us)m what you are referencing in the guides? JBL Flip 3

YouTube video was for bass buzzing, not screeching.

Soldered all the wire connections so I don't believe that's the issue. The arrow in the pic indicates the movement that occurs at high volume.. the copper ring on the inside seems to be coming into contact with something but I can't see what it is/get to it. At lower volumes that copper ring doesn't move so violently and therefore there's no screech? The wires appear to touch at high volume as well but I wrapped them and the screech continued

Think the battery or the charger has gone bad. Try replacing the battery. https://youtu.be/sYtpdHWl7fc

I have same screech sound at higher volumes. Battery seems to die within seconds after recharging. Noticed that there is no screech when unit is plugged into charger with volume cranked up. So I believe it may be a bad battery. Interested in hearing others opinion. Thx

I always thought it was the speakers that handle the bass going out. I noticed it happens with mine when I play songs with bass or drums
