Coffee in the keyboard of a MacBook Pro 17"

I spilled about a teaspoon of coffee on the left edge of the keyboard of my MacBook Pro 17". Initial symptoms were a perpetual typing of "11111111111's" and then "qqqqqqqqqqqq's" in any document or webform - including login windows.

The system works, BUT there is a problem with displays of directories. The system has lost ability to remember and recall changes to the directory locations and column widths. Sometimes it will not allow me to scroll on long file lists or select single items.
