How to completely disable ⌘ (Command) Key on my MacBook Pro Late 2016?

Hello dear iFixIt Community, I need an advice/help to get my MacBook Pro working correctly.

For like 1 month ago my grandma spilled a hot tea on my MacBook Pro. I was so quick and managed to turn the other side of MacBook Pro to not let the tea go deeper. Since the tea has sugar in it my keys started to act like out of control. When I press a key I feel that the key is not typing or typing for like 2 or 3 times at the same time. So I got a wireless keyboard and worked for 8 hours without any problems. Then it happened, my ⌘ key stuck repeating. I started to lose the control of my computer. Can’t click, can’t type, can’t login… So I removed film cable of internal keyboard. Managed to login with wireless keyboard. But then I realized my MacBook Pro is overheating because the keyboard circuit also connects the system fan to logicboard. So I needed to reconnect the film cable of keyboard. Then removed 2 of the butterfly keys from the keyboard. But it still repeating… Do you guys have any advice? Actually If I can disable the ⌘ keys from the keyboard or by editing kext or something, it won’t work and won’t stuck anymore.

Here are some photos that describe the situation of the device.

STOP! Don’t do anything more Apple will repair or replace your keyboard under a free extended warranty program! Just bring your system to an Apple Store.

They'll cover liquid damage under the repair program?

No they won't but who's going to tell them?

Take a look in System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys. There’s an option to switch the Command key to No Action. That will disable both command keys.

It would be pretty difficult to use macOS without a Command key though, I’d probably switch the caps lock key to Command in that same window if you never use caps lock.

Well does that setting apply at startup? I mean my FileVault is on so there's like pre-boot login when starting up my MacBook Pro. The thing that I'm trying to ask does that setting will apply at that moment when I'm at pre-boot login window. Cause sometimes that ⌘ key stuck there so won't let me login.

I've just tried it. And nope It still stucks...
