I would like to open my phone to be able to use Vodacom as now when I am inserting the vodacom sim it says “ Not Registered to Network”. Please help me as the Cell C network is I am currently using on the phone is giving me problems. I can not even perform hard reset or factory setting on the phone it totally does not respond to these commands. Please help.

Hi @vidoe ,
You need to “unlock” the phone from the Cell C network.
Either contact Cell C about an unlock code for your phone (and how much it may cost you to get the unlock code) or search online for Cell C South Africa unlock code to find companies that you can purchase the code from.
You will need to know the IMEI number of your phone. Dial *#06# from your phone to find the number in your phone.
Once it is unlocked you will be able to use any network that your phone is compatible with.

What is the make and model number of the phone?
Have you tried inserting a known working, network compatible same size SIM card into the phone and check if it detects networks OK?
Have you tried inserting the SIM card from your phone into another known working, same size SIM card, network compatible phone and checked if it worked there OK?
Basically swap SIM cards between two same network phones and check what works where.
Has the phone been dropped or gotten wet at all?
Yes I want my phone to open all South Africa network
