Why is my left running light and left tail light not turning off?

Yesterday night I realized my left running light that was replaced a few months ago after hitting a deer was not turning off when my vehicle was off. It stayed on for a few hours until I left this morning the light turned off, driving home the light turned off with my vehicle turning off. Later today the light turned back on and stayed on with now my left tail light is staying on also. What is happening, I have a Chrysler 200 S 2015

Maybe something with your parking lights? Are you sure that your parking light is off?

Yes I have been turning them on and off through out this process to figure out what’s going on

Take apart your light switch assembly, you should see a burn spot shorting the left side to the power source (battery power there all the time)

I eventually brought it in to the dealership, they ended up blowing water out of the light assembly for my left headlight and that fixed it. Hasn’t happened since then.

The taillights work not by supplying power to the light, but by grounding it. The light always has power to it, but no ground, so the car turns the light on by grounding a return wire.

That has the result that any short along that wire will turn the light on. Apparently Mikayla's was getting enough conductivity from the water in the assembly to complete the circuit, but generally it's going to be caused by a wire that's gotten frayed somewhere along the length and is touching bare metal.

So check the wires going to and from the bulb for shorts; that's the most likely cause. Of course, check the socket itself for any kind of damage as well.

I was wonder where should I take it to be fixed for a low cost I'm having this same problem?
