Console sync button not working

Hi, I have the 1st Gen Xbox one console Halo edition, controllers are both fine, but am having trouble connecting wirelessly as the sync button on the side of the console is making it's click sound, but the xbox logo on the front isn't flashing.

I've tried:

1 - Hard reset with power cycling etc

2 - pulling case apart to check ribbon cable for damage- looks fine

3 - factory reset

4 - unplugging everything except Power & HDMI

I don't believe it's the Bluetooth/wireless card as wifi signal is still fine (I use ethernet normally but checked wifi for this issue) and media remote still works fine

I called Microsoft support, and apparently they no longer offer tech support for the gen 1 xbox one only the one s and one x so they were as useful as tits on a bull

So literally EVERY forum says to try power cycling etc and none of that has helped whatsoever.

Also controller batteries are fine as I run play & charge kits in both and batteries are fine controllers work fine via usb

Literally just the sync button on the console os the issue.

PLEASE HELP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

To fix this issue it involves a bit of time and some tool.

The side with the sync button you will use a small screw driver and pull the plastic screen off.

Once off the sync button has a piece behind it that will slide out.

Once they are out you will need to start opening the entire case from that side. (Youtube has thousands of how to open videos.)

Be careful not to rip the case open too quickly to avoid damaging the front face ribbon.

When you finally have it open the ribbon attached to the face will need to be checked that it is seated properly being that is what the button signal travels through. If that is connected then you may need to replace the front board to the console or the wireless card that is attached to the top of the metal case.

Best of luck!
