Why is there no power? I have replaced the Battery.

I have replaced the battery and tried with the charger from my other DC45(which works Fine). there is no power at all. the light on the charger is green but there is no light on the main unit

When you say you have replaced the battery, do you mean you have actually put a new battery in?

thanks for replying Malcolm. Yes, I have put in a new battery and charged it with the charger that i know is working. Could it be a switch problem ?
