Keyboard Backlight Not Working After Screen Replacement
2018 Macbook Pro keyboard only lights up at the log in screen. After I log in and hit enter it fades out.
The task bar is lit up full blast. The buttons to dim and brighten the keyboard on the Expanded Control Strip change color when I touch them but do nothing. Everything else on the strip is working as it should.
The options to adjust the keyboard in low light and turn the low light off after ? seconds of inactivity are both missing in the system preferences.
I opened it back up this afternoon and re-seated the keyboard ribbon after reading another post, but am still having the same issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Where did you get the display and what is the Apple P/N of the part they shipped you?

LA Tronics thru Amazon
From the receipt - ASIN: B07KWX5RM6
When I search that the only thing that comes up is the Amazon post that I purchased it from.
There was a sticker on one of the ribbon cables. I would have to open the computer back up to get to it, but there’s no guarantee that there is an actual Apple part number on there.
I’m starting to feel like I’ve made a mistake here !

Sadly I think you did make a mistake! If you look on the web for the company you'll find there address 14752 Crenshaw Blvd 179 - Gardena, CA 90249.
If you look at Apples Maps you'll see the location is a mailbox service Pit Stop So clearly this is a very small outfit as they don't have a real business.
Often I find folks like this who sell parts are buying back door parts from someone who is digging through the trash (defective goods) reselling them as good parts.
This is what happens when Apple fails to offer parts directly or via a clearinghouse company for them. As there is very few avenues for good quality parts.
Make sure you buy parts from a real brick & mortar business that's not going to disappear in a heartbeat! Get your money back ASAP!!

Well ... poop!
I''ll return this to Amazon.
I was trying to do it myself because Apple wanted 750 bucks to repair thing.
They're MO (and quality) has really changed over the years. My 2011 lasted 8 years until the motherboard started to go. Then I crack the screen on this one by cleaning it. Oh well ...
Thank you so much for your help!

@dbigsy - Hello, just wondering if you had a follow-up on the screen replacement and did your problems persist?
I’m having the same issues and working it out with the repair shop. Thanks
