How does the iPhone 6 WiFi antenna work?

I recently replaced my iPhone 6 wifi antenna, as my wifi range was barely 2-5 meters, and my cellular was constancy "searching". Throughout the process I made a rookie mistake and pull one of the 4 connectors of the old wifi antenna too hard and one of the pads came off the motherboard. I decided to just connect the new one with the remaining three pads regardless and left the last one be. When i turned on my phone, my wifi signal was strong as it originally once was, as well as my cellular started working again.

All my problems got fixed and there doesn't seem to be any other issues, but as im curious to know, do all the connectors of the antenna serve the same purpose and having one off doesn't do much? or do each one serve a purpose?. So far everything works just like new, so im dumbfounded by this. Im relatively new to any of this, its just my curiosity eating at me. Thank you so much

Those antennas are responsible for 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi including GPS.

With one of those antenna connections broken it will affect one of those.
