@wolbrand check the voltages from the power board to the backlight LEDs. This is either a bad power board or failed backlight strips (most likely). Let us know what you find.

Hi @wolbrand ,

The board you're testing is the LED backlight inverter board (supplier example only)as indicated by the LG 6917L-0152A board number. You may wish to verify with the seller that it is also compatible with your particular model if you decide to try replacing it.

I can't find the schematics for the board but given the cost of a replacement it may be worth a try replacing it.

Some inverters need to be "told" to switch on so be aware of this. So even though there is 24V input the output might depend on a signal from the mainboard to turn it on. I don't know if this is the case for your model or not, just something to keep in mind if you decide to replace the board and the replacement doesn't work either.

Thank you for your help I'll give the new board ago and see how I get on, cheers Warren

@wolbrand as @jayeff mentions, your LED board needs to get the signal from the main board to turn back-light LEDs on. If it does not get the signal it will not do so. However, since you can see the picture with a flashlight the chances of a bad main board etc. are small and the greater likelihood will be failed back light arrays. See if you can get an inexpensive LED back-light tester. That way you know for sure and do not have to try to change all kinds of boards.
