Hi,

With the tablet turned on, use a straightened paperclip to press and hold the recessed reset button in the tablet for about 5 seconds, then release and check if this restores the screen controls. The tablet will shutdown and then restart once the button is released

If that didn’t work try a factory reset.

Be aware that a factory reset will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the tablet to its factory default condition. Backup your data to the cloud or a computer before performing the factory reset. You will also have to remember the tablet’s Google account User ID and password (if one has been entered into the tablet) so that you can re-enter it to access the tablet after it has been reset, otherwise you will be locked out

To reset the tablet open Settings from the application menu, then tap Privacy > Factory data reset, click Reset tablet and then Erase everything to format your tablet.
