error 23 when attempting upgrade to ios5

try to restore the iphone 3gs and it throws error 23 immediatly after verifying the update with apple server. IT was jailbroken b4. When i start up the phone it shows connect to itunes on the screen. Cant even put in DFU mode.. tried almost everything.. even if i press home and power for longg time it wont restart....

I tried whole circuit board(mother board) in other wokring 3gs phone and attempted restore but still the same error. tried 3 diff computers... tried tiny umberella.. but still stuck on recovery mode...

Any divine suggestions ? to bring the life in the phone?
