Oil damaged MacBook with working trackpad and battery.
I got oil damaged 2 years ago. I took it to shop where I bought it from. It was too pricy to fix, so I took for another private company who made diagnostic and cleaned it from oil. Only for 35 GBP. Now I got money for my Birthday present and I decided to invest it in fixing MacBook.
When I turn on device it takes about 5-10 sec. to ask password. Sounds are on and trackpad works perfectly. Battery as well, because I can charge my device. Usb is working perfectly.
BUT only some of keys on the keyboard are working and some of not. Examble for Caps lock is not working. Delete-key doesn’t work, but space key button works well.
This is how iSmash company explained me the result of diagnostic:
“After opening device sow that none of liquid damage indicators are red but on motherboard is visible oil fumes residue, under track pad and battery was still wet oil which was cleaned, possibly keyboard stopped working because that oil hit daughter board under track pad which is connecting both track pad and keyboard with motherboard.
So question is do I need to change keyboard as well, because logic board will be anyway changed? What else should be fixed?
