Unsure of where a part goes

Brother Xl 2600

The Brother XR-40 is a 35 stitch, drop arm sewing machine featuring a sewing assist LCD display.

I took the cover off to clean the machine. I taped the screws to where they go however this part came off and I have no idea where it goes!
