Can I take out the pcie ssd drive and put ssd 2.5 insted?
hello all, i have an imac 2019 with 1t pcie drive and i want to replace him with ssd 2.5 4t is it possible?

Now keep in mind the PCIs/NVMe blade SSD is almost twice as fast as the SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) HDD drive port (with a SSD).
So why do you want to cripple your system?
@yair_9 - Use both!
You have two independent ports the PCIe/MVMe blade drive (1TB) and you have the SATA port. While Apple expected it to be used for 3.5" HDD's they is nothing stopping you to use it for a 2.5" SSD using an adapter frame and the needed cables.
You'll leave the OS and your apps on the blade drive and then use your 2.5” SSD for holding your work. You’ll loose quite a lot of performance pulling out the blade SSD.

thank for your answer, i was take out the blade and put the ssd sata and put the cables that i was find form older imac, i was Clone the Sata ssd, but it not recognized the ssd as a boot drive, i can see the drive at Disk Utility but it is look like brand new and empty.
and as external its boot o.k

i have 1t pcie and 4t ssd sata i must use 4t
