Damaged screen blinking strings of light no real image google pixel 3a

I replaced the battery and charging port on my Google pixel 3a. Phone starts, and I can make a call with my car using bluetooth, but the screen has a minimal number of pixels in string like patterns illuminating. Screen is entirely non usable for touch or visual. I did mildly Crack the screen on disassembling at the bottom edge. Tried resetting the screen to motherboard cable a few times, no change. The phone is unlocking with my fingerprint on the back and seem functional beyond the screen.

Is it likely I buggered the screen or would I have messed up something else making it not worth replacing the screen?

Hi,

Given that everything else works OK it is more than likely that the screen has been damaged, especially since you said that it was cracked during the battery replacement repair. It might seem only mildly cracked but that is just what you can see on the outside.
