Ice makers usually rely on a specific freezing temperature for the ice makers temperature sensor to command the water valve on to feed water into the ice tray. A search shows freezer temps should be between 0F-5F. Above 5F and ice makers may not operate. What's your freezer temperature?

Hi @j1056,

maybe check your wiring to the ice maker.

Here's the 4317943 instruction sheet for replacing the ice maker.

Apologies if you used this already

The ice maker works I can jumper T&H terminal the ice maker begins at cycle but never calls for water My temperature in the freezer is zero. Also tried to jumper L&V no water even ran new wires to the water valve . Also changed ice maker where is the problem.

Without a wiring diagram to review, my guess is either a wiring issue or ice maker wasn't 'homed' when jumpering wires to power it. Ice makers tend to have micro switches to detect mechanism position preventing movement if a mechanical jam occurs. This can prevent water dispensing if the ice maker isn't in home position and if freezer temps are above a specified temperature to prevent flooding. Years ago when I replaced a well worn out ice maker leaking water from its ice tray (corrosion), I studied wiring and determined freezer temps are one criteria along with the mechanism in home position before water is dispensed. If one or the other isn't right, the ice maker will not operate. All part of safety design.

Edit:

the ice maker not calling for water during its cycle could be due to several reasons:

1. Faulty Ice Maker:

The ice maker itself might be malfunctioning. If other steps fail, it's possible the ice maker needs repair or replacement.

2. Clogged Water Filter:

the water filter could be clogged enough to restrict the flow specifically to the ice maker. Try replacing the water filter.

In some cases, the refrigerator may even be designed to stop dispensing ice or water when the filter is past its “replace by” date.

3. Frozen Water Line:

While you mentioned good water flow, there could be a section of the water line that's frozen. Check for any frozen sections in the line, ESPECIALLY near the connection point to the ice maker.

4. Faulty Water Inlet Valve:

which controls the flow of water to the ice maker, could be damaged or malfunctioning.

Check the ice maker inlet valve & water supply tubing for any signs of clogs, leaks, or damage. Look for frozen sections in the line, esp. if your freezer temp is set too low. Tighten any loose connectors, repair any broken seals or cracks, & remove any debris blocking the water flow. Some water lines have a screen that can become clogged, so check & clean it if necessary.

5. Control Arm/Sensor Issue:

Some ice makers have a CONTROL ARM or SENSOR If this component is malfunctioning, the ice maker might not receive the signal to fill with water.

Additional Tips:

Consult your user manual

RESET THE ICE MAKER: Refer to your user manual for specific instructions on resetting your model.

This might involve lifting & lowering the control arm or wire for a specific amount of time.

try unplugging the fridge for 60 sec.

After resetting, lift, then lower, the control arm or wire, & wait 10 sec for the ice tray to refill with water.

Orig.

You will want to make sure the water valve is actually open.

turn it so that it’s fully open. Wait for about 60-90 min. and see if the ice maker begins to produce ice.

If it does, then the water supply valve wasn’t properly open.

Check the refrigerator's filter.

When there's no filter, or it's clogged, the ice maker does not get water.

Make sure that the filter is in place, and if it has not been changed in more than six months, replace it with a new one.
